Mahanagar Gas sets up First CNG Station in Raigad
CNG station opened in Karjat
Mahanagar Gas Limited, India’s major city gas distribution company, has started operations in Raigad with its first CNG filling station at Karjat. Targeted at Karjat and adjoining areas, the station will attract existing CNG vehicles and encourage others to convert to the environmental friendly fuel. The introduction of natural gas in Raigad district is aimed at providing convenient and eco-friendly fuel to the people of Raigad.
MGL plans to open several more CNG stations in Karjat and other adjoining areas in the future. The company also plans to provide Piped Natural Gas (PNG) for households, industrial and commercial purpose in Raigad district.
Mahanagar Gas has been providing CNG and PNG to the residents of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) since last 22 years catering to over 5.5 Lakh vehicles and 9.5 Lakh households
Our robust infrastructure spreads over 5000 km of Steel and PE Pipeline and a network of more than 200 CNG stations with 1300 dispensing points.
As a CNG provider in the MMR, MGL has already augmented its reach till Kalyan-Dombivali and Badlapur-Ambernath region and is also furthering its network in Bhiwandi, Panvel, Taloja, Kamothe and Kharghar.
