MGL revises PNG and CNG price

The selling price of Domestically produced Natural Gas has been increased by 62% by the Government of India with effect from 01st October 2021. Further, Re-gasified LNG prices are at historically high levels. This combination has resulted in a significant increase in the cost of gas being procured by MGL.

Being a customer focused Company, MGL has always tried to maintain price stability for its CNG and Domestic PNG customers. However, since the increase in gas price is large, MGL has decided to progressively recover such increased gas cost. Under the circumstances, MGL is constrained to increase the basic price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by Rs. 2.00/Kg and Domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) by Rs 2.00/ SCM in and around Mumbai, effective from midnight of October 04, 2021 / early morning of October 05, 2021.

Accordingly, the revised delivered prices inclusive of all taxes of CNG and Domestic PNG in and around Mumbai will be Rs. 54.57/Kg and Rs. 32.67/SCM (Slab 1) and Rs. 38.27/SCM (Slab 2) respectively.

Even after the above revision, MGL's CNG offers attractive savings of about 65% and 44% as compared to petrol and diesel respectively at current price levels in Mumbai. MGL's Domestic PNG offers 34% saving as compared to current price of Domestic LPG while delivering unmatched convenience, safety, reliability and environmental friendliness to consumers.

All our valued customers may please take note of these revisions.
