MGL revises PNG and CNG price

The price of domestically produced APM gas has been revised by Petroleum Pricing & Analysis Cell (PPAC) with effect from 01st October 2022. The revised price reflects an increase of 40%. Besides, allocation of APM gas to MGL for CNG & Domestic PNG segments has also been concurrently reduced by 10% due to which MGL is required to source RLNG at a substantially higher cost in order to cater to the increasing requirement of CNG and D-PNG in MGL's license areas.

Due to the above factors, coupled with devaluation of INR against US$, MGL is constrained to increase prices of CNG and D-PNG as MGL's input gas cost has increased substantially.

Being a customer focused Company, MGL has always tried to maintain price stability for its customers. However, since the increase in input gas cost is significantly large, MGL has decided to progressively recover such increased input gas cost. Accordingly, MGL is increasing the MRP of CNG by Rs.6.00 per Kg and Domestic PNG by Rs.4.00 per SCM in MGL's license areas spread in and around Mumbai effective from midnight of 03rd October 2022 / early morning of 04th October 2022. Accordingly, the revised MRP inclusive of all taxes of CNG will be Rs.86 per Kg and Domestic PNG Price will be Rs.52.50 per SCM.

The revised MRP of CNG offers attractive savings of about 45% compared to petrol at current price level in Mumbai. MGL's Domestic PNG offers around 11% saving as compared to current MRP of Domestic LPG while delivering unmatched convenience, safety, reliability and environmental friendliness to consumers.

All our valued customers may please take note of these revisions.
