Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) will soon begin Piped Gas supply in Navi Mumbai. MGL has already laid down an infrastructure of over 100 kms of Steel and Polyethylene pipeline in the area and will be connecting various areas of Navi Mumbai in phases.
Spreading its network in phases, MGL plans to provide the convenience of the Safe, Convenient, Cost effective and Environment friendly Piped Natural Gas to nearly 75% of the households of Navi Mumbai in the next 5 years.
MGL already has over 4 lac satisfied domestic Piped Gas consumers in Mumbai. Thane and Mira-Bhayander enjoying the benefits of this economical and clean fuel. MGL's domestic PNG consumers use gas for cooking as well as for heating of water using gas geysers. PNG is not only cost effective compared to alternative fuels, but is also safer due to its natural property of being lighter than air. Available 24 hours directly at the turn of a tap in the home, PNG’s unique convenience and other benefits make it the preferred fuel choice.
